It’s time for a good old Bouldering Scramble Comp!
Calgary Climbing Centre Chinook Bouldering Classic is upon us.
When: Friday May 10th, 2019
Where: CCC Chinook. We are using the whole gym.
Problems of all grades will be put up all over the place. Just like the old days. So much fun!.
Schedule:
5:30pm-6:45pm. Check-in
6:45pm Info meeting.
7:00pm-10:00pm Bouldering Scramble Competition.
9:00pm-11:00pm Food and Drinks.
Cost: $25+gst (Non-members will need a day pass.)
Categories: Choose between Recreational or Advanced. This event is supposed to be fun and we will tabulate scores, but really it’s about coming to have a great time, climbing with friends and getting a wicked session in. Prizes will be drawn out so everyone gets a chance to win cool stuff. Let’s do this!
This event will be peer-judged. Climb with a friend or come make some new ones!
The CCC Classic will be a bouldering scramble type event which means you get to climb any of the problems that are set. You can try anything as many times as you like. We’ll number them all, 1 to 50 and you get to climb whatever you want. Usually #1 is the easiest and the highest number (50? or 60?) is the hardest. Your top 6 count towards your final score…. but some people will probably try to do them all ( Yes, I’m talking about you Pete Nelson!).
